Work Begins on Final Phase of Cornhill Quarter Regeneration
We’re excited to share that works are now underway on the final stage of Lincolnshire Co-op’s major regeneration of Lincoln’s Cornhill Quarter, with the Cornhill Gateway officially under construction.
This £3.2 million development marks a significant milestone in the transformation of the area
The project will see the creation of a brand-new building on the prominent corner of St Mary’s Street and Sincil Street. Once complete, it will become the new office space for East Midlands Railway. Designed to enhance the character and connectivity of the Cornhill Quarter, the Gateway will serve as a striking and welcoming entrance to the vibrant mix of new shops, restaurants, and leisure spots that now define the area.
One of the standout features of the development will be the inclusion of a living green wall — introducing climbers, herbaceous plants, and hedging to bring more greenery and biodiversity to the heart of the city.
Advanced Drywall Systems is proud to be playing a key role in this phase of the build, working alongside zenith developments delivering high-quality internal partitions, suspended ceilings, fireproofing of all structural steelwork, and plastering within the new office space.
We’re also contributing to the revitalisation of Plots 16 and 17, bringing a vibrant new look while staying true to the architectural heritage of the Cornhill Quarter. Traditional lime plastering techniques are being used in key areas of the shopfronts, adding character and authenticity to this carefully considered development.
Be sure to keep an eye out for upcoming photos — including a look at the bespoke lime-plastered staircase that showcases the craftsmanship behind this project.
Stay tuned for more updates as we help bring the Cornhill Gateway to life.
